Art Law Talks: The Rights of Performing Artists through Covid-19
April 15th, 5-6pm
Join the ALO’s Legal Director, Martha Rans, for a happy hour glass of wine in conversation with entertainment lawyer Byron Pascoe of Edwards PC, Creative Law.
Byron will provide general practical take-aways focused on rights and obligations of performing artists relating to the COVID-19 crisis, for example regarding venues, and the members of a performing artist’s team. Note that his remarks will *not* cover specific government programs to help artists during this difficult time.
Byron Pascoe is an entertainment lawyer with Edwards Creative Law. From his work with musicians to filmmakers, he enjoys both assisting with their legal needs and being a member of the team that helps to advance careers and grow creative businesses. Based in Ottawa, he works with clients across Canada, and is involved with several initiatives that provide professional development to various artist communities.
