Dance is a complex expression of movement where the dancer is often inextricably connected to the choreography. How does this fit into a system of copyright that requires fixation? A conversation with Evann Siebens, dancer/filmmaker, and Tara Cheyenne Freidenberg, dancer/choreographer/performer, about the law and ethics of making and recording dance with Martha Rans, legal director of Artists’ Legal Outreach.
Presented as part of F-O-R-M (Festival of Recorded Movement): f-o-r-m.ca.
